The Right Rev. Dr. Jarod Cruthis was ordained as a Priest in Apostolic Succession on October 14, 2017 with the Continuing Evangelical Episcopal Communion, and consecrated as a Bishop on May 3, 2019.
Our Bishop, Dr. Jarod Cruthis ,has been in pastoral ministry for over twenty years. Through years of church planting with his best friend and wife Christy, Our Bishop has ministered throughout North Carolina. A dynamic speaker and leader, the Bishop's desire is to see lives completely revolutionized by the Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. Our Bishop has a passion for revival and embraces his call to ignite these revival fires both locally and globally. He is a pastor to pastors and operates in the Apostolic office raising up and discipling young men to follow God's call into ministry.
Bishop Cruthis has served in the Assemblies of God, the Pentecostal Holiness Church, and the Church of God. He has also planted numerous non-denominational churches throughout his pastorate. After many years of serving as a senior pastor and church planter, he was able to follow his passion and was consecrated as a priest in Apostolic Succession with the Continuing Evangelical Episcopal Communion. Through this new ministry, he was then able to honor the sacred traditions of the Church while continuing to embrace his Evangelical and Charismatic roots. On May 3, 2019 Cruthis was consecrated as a Bishop Ordinary of the Diocese of St. James the Greater.
Bishop Jarod's passion is to educate and equip the Church while leading those who choose, into a deeper walk with Christ. The Bishop has always been a bi-vocational minister and brings his experience as an educator and therapist into his pastoral mission. Bishop Jarod holds a BA in Biblical Studies, a MA and Doctorate in Christian Education, a Doctorate in Clinical Pastoral Counseling, and a MA in Professional Counseling. Aside from the pastorate, the Bishop is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist and a Certified Clinical Supervisor with the NCSAPPB.
Originally from the Piedmont-Triad of North Carolina, Bishop Cruthis now resides in Beaufort, NC on the beautiful Crystal Coast. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, writing, hiking, and building the Kingdom!
